About a year ago, as a board member, I was helping to find a space for the American Society of Picture Professional’s Holiday Party. One venue we considered and ended up using was Mrs. Murphy’s Irish Bistro in the North Center neighborhood of Chicago. I scheduled a meeting with the event manager at Mrs. Murphy’s. I arrived about 30 minutes early for the meeting and decided to enjoy the fall weather with a short walk down Lincoln Avenue. During the walk, I took the accompanying photograph of a Trader Joe’s sign.

Granted, this photo won’t win any awards. But, I’ve had a fair amount of luck licensing stock photos of business signs, and so, “click.” And now, that click has paid off.

By the way, if you’re in Chicago, pay a visit to Mrs. Murphy’s. The food is great and the bar was made in Ireland, shipped here and put together. Beautiful woodwork.
